6:00 PM: Oh, no! We're too late! You can't tell from my face, but we were pretty disappointed.

This is the main entrance to the Père Lachaise Cemetery, where a bunch of famous people are buried. I'd wanted to take a picture of us in front of Jim Morrison's grave for Emily and Katelin's mom and dad, my cousin Susan and her husband Dan.

Unfortunately, the gates closed at 6:00 and we got there just a few minutes beforehand. The dogs are facing away from the camera because they're still trying to get in.

You can see a woman, to the left, talking to the mean guard (not pictured) who wouldn't even let us take a picture at the gate. But we did it anyway. Ha, ha!
